The Schoolwide Enrichment Model is a research-based model of gifted education that works to meet the needs of all students by nurturing and developing gifted behaviors. Enrichment clusters are one component of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model created by the gifted education researcher Joseph Renzulli.   

 

Teachers in the program select an area of study that is interesting to them.  All the possible topics are presented to students, and then each student selects a topic that they are interested in studying in depth for the semester. At the end of the semester, students will have created an authentic product, service or performance for an authentic audience.
